Lisztomania: Five Consecutive Singles Run This Decade

I didn't realize before, but having five consecutive great singles is extremely difficult for an artist to accomplish. Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, and Ciara, three of the most successful singles artists of the millenium, would've been shoo-ins in the (t5!) top 5, but they all ruined the streak: Missy released the bland Aaliyah eulogy, "Take Away", JT released the McDonald's commercial, "I'm Lovin' It", and Ciara's executives felt like she needed to release a slow song like "And I" just to cement the "next Aaliyah" tag. Also, if "Guilty Conscience" wasn't released six months too early, Eminem would have been an easy #1; but he did have a run from "Bitch Please II" to "Drug Ballad" that just barely missed the cut.

Others who deserve honorable mentions: LCD Soundsystem's run from "Disco Infiltrator" to "Someone Great", Feist's run from "Mushaboom" to "My Moon, My Man", Jay-Z's run from "Big Pimpin'" to "Guilty Until Proven Innocent", Ludacris' run from "What's Your Fantasy" to "Saturday (Oooh Oooh!), and The Strokes' run from "Hard To Explain" to "Reptilia". Thank you, Wikipedia, for all the info.
