Given that these three were almost solely responsible for the best top 40 singles of last year, a collaboration had extreme potential to knock one out of the park. This was alright, but I can’t help but feel somewhat robbed. Furtado and Timberlake sound as good as expected, however Timbaland doesn’t shine when asked to front a whole verse. Also, his production lacks the attention-grabbing hook everyone is accustomed to hearing. The marching band drums and the spook synth never propel forward and just sort of dissipate in the atmosphere.
